Christina Aguilera will join the group of artists who have a documentary about her life; the companies Roc Nation and TIME Studios are preparing a film that will narrate her career of more than 20 years, with interviews and concert scenes.
The still untitled film will be directed by Ting Poo, who garnered rave reviews last year for the documentary “Val” about the life of actor Val Kilmer. The director declared that he is excited to work on this project: “Christina Aguilera is one of the most iconic artists of our time, whose music has inspired millions of people around the world. It's really an honor to tell the story of the person behind the music, because I know she inspires as well.”
Lori York, from the company Roc Nation, also commented on the documentary, for which a release date is not yet known: “Christina is a true icon, a beacon of endless authenticity. As a young artist she broke the rules and paved the way for future voices. We are proud to be working with Christina and TIME Studios, bringing such an intimate project to life.”
