Demi Lovato is happy and busy putting the finishing touches on her new musical project: an album of covers from rock to her hit singles But until a few years ago the singer had serious problems due to her drug addiction, so now she revealed that in her daily life she suffers the consequences of the rhythm of life she led.
In an interview with Andy Cohen for SiriusXM Demi commented that it is five years since the heroin overdose she had, for which she almost died, since it caused a heart attack and three strokes: “When I think about certain things, the closest I get to regret is when I overdosed. That caused me a disability. Until now I have impaired vision and impaired hearing”.
The 30-year-old singer confessed that due to her addiction she can't drive a car, due to having so many blind spots: “It's a constant reminder to stay on the right track, because I don't want that to happen again happen…Luckily, in the state of mind I'm in right now, you know, being sober, having a clear head, I'm just thinking in a more positive headspace, and I'm not focusing on shame at all…I understand why it happened and what happened, but there is no shame about it, because it was just a life lesson that I had to learn”. Demi's long-awaited new album, Revamped, is due out in September.
