Olivia Rodrigo occupies number 1 on the Billboard 200 list with her new album “Guts”

“Guts”, the second album by singer Olivia Rodrigo, debuted this week in first place on the Billboard 200 list, with 302,000 units sold in the United States
The return of the young singer Olivia Rodrigo to the music scene has had a great impact, and that is reflected in sales from their second album Guts, which debuted this week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
In the United States, Guts has sold 302,000 units - distributed in digital downloads, CD, cassette and vinyl -, easily placing it at the top of the charts. With this, Rodrigo is the first female artist in nine years to debut at number 1 in sales with her first two musical productions (the previous one was Sour , from 2021). Three singles have been released from the album so far: “Vampire” -which was first place on the Billboard Hot 100-, “Bad idea right?” and “Get him back”.
The good sales of Olivia Rodrigo's second album were also reinforced by the singer's performance at the last MTV VMAs (in which she was nominated for several awards, but only won one) and the rumors of an alleged rivalry with the singer Taylor Swift, something that Olivia has neither denied nor confirmed in recent interviews. She also made known -through his Instagram account– the dates of his Guts world tour, which will begin in 2024.
