Israeli ambassador said - we are interested in Make in India, will share technology

The Israeli Ambassador to India has expressed willingness to share technology for the success of the 'Make in India' programme, amid ongoing talks on the India-Israel Free Trade Agreement. However, along with this, he has also expressed concern about the violation of intellectual property rules.

Israeli Ambassador to India Naor Gillan at an event organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel said that 'Make in India' is our interest and there are endless possibilities of cooperation with India. However, they have received three serious complaints from Israeli companies in India related to the IP problem. "We are open to sharing the technology," Gillan said, but he clarified that there is an IP issue.

Said, "There is immense potential due to the combination of Israel and India's technology, your manufacturing capability, your ability to sell to many more countries around the world, especially your extensive diplomatic contacts in Muslim countries." Israel is very interested in 'Make in India'.

Urging to Start New Entrepreneurial Relationships

Addressing 85 entrepreneurs and investors from JIFF, a part of the Jain International Trade Organisation, Ginnon said, "Israeli entrepreneurs complement Indians and both entrepreneurs share common interests." He urged the young Jain entrepreneurs to start new relationships together and discussed the plans for the next 30 years between the two countries. He said, Jainism and Judaism are very similar.
