Wife of Clayton Kershaw announces death of Dodgers pitcher's mother at baseball community event

The mother of legendary Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw passed away Saturday morning, mourning the baseball player's family.
Ellen Kershaw, wife of the pitcher, was the one who announced the news of the death of Marianne Kershaw during an event of the Dodgers Foundation in Inglewood, in which two more baseball fields were presented to benefit the community.
No details about the cause of death or the age of the woman were released. At the moment it is unknown if the death was sudden. Clayton Kershaw appeared hours later in the dugout during the Dodgers' game against the Padres in Los Angeles.
Clayton Kershaw, who was raised by his mother, was not at the event in Inglewood. However, his wife was present and while she was talking about the importance of children's baseball, she shared the surprising news, as could be seen in a report from the KCAL News channel.

“Clayton grew up with a baseball in his hands,” Ellen Kershaw said. “One person in particular nurtured that love in Clayton: his adoring mom, Marianne, who moved mountains so he could practice baseball.”
One such field featured in Inglewood was dedicated to Marianne Kershaw.
“She did not experience greater joy than seeing her son become the man, philanthropist, father and baseball player that he is today,” added Clayton's wife, who every year with her husband organize a massive tennis event. table at Dodger Stadium to support their charitable causes.
Clayton Kershaw, 35 years old and born in Dallas, is in his 16th season with the Dodgers and has been one of the best pitchers in the National League this season with a 6-2, 2.36 mark.
