It was the president of Pachuca himself, Armando Martinez, who revealed the possibility that Luis Chavez had to play football in Europe. Feyenoord, Santiago Gimenez 's club , tried to get hold of the young Tuzos player, but the approach was made a few hours after the transfer market closed.

Luis Chávez and his criticism of Mexican soccer
Before Armando Martinez's testimony, Luis Chavez had already raised some criticism that could be related to the treatment of his signing. The Pachuca footballer criticized the clubs' demands when selling their players.
“We see the MLS that almost gives away its players to Europe as long as they have more prominence in their selection. You see them now and you realize that almost all of their team are players in Europe, I think we could copy that a bit, leaving some of the business aside,” Chavez explained in an interview with Fox Sports.
