'We are the rival to beat': Robert Dante Siboldi of Tigres warned all his rivals in the Clausura 2023 of Liga

After the victory obtained against Puebla, Tigres de la UANL reached the quarterfinals of the Clausura 2023 of Liga MX, where they will have to play their lives against Toluca in the next round, and it was Robert Dante Siboldi who announced that for said commitment and for the rest they are “the rival to beat”.

“Tigres had not entered (the Liguilla) as a dark horse, they have always been favorites, very dangerous in the Liguilla, we will continue to be the rival to beat no matter how many casualties we will have, we are still in the war. This is football, more so in do-or-die matches”, said the coach in charge of the royal team.

“The team is fine, it arrives rehabilitated and arrives without any type of problem. We are ready to start this Liguilla with great enthusiasm. Today he was a worthy rival, he gave himself up and we beat him, but physically we are fine”, added Dante Siboldi at a press conference.

Later, the same strategist explained how the whole team will seek to go for the championship. In addition, he also revealed that he sees the entire team very involved with said objective, to be crowned champion in the Clausura 2023 of the MX League.

“Yes (it's a relief), of all the objectives we had this semester, one was half met, we still have to play the Liguilla. If we manage to be here, now we're going for the championship, the truth was a great job by the boys, it's all theirs, we had to get up to be able to get in, the team is very involved in the objectives that we want to achieve”, he commented at a press conference.

Toluca and Tigres will face each other on Thursday, May 11 at the Estadio Universitario at 11:10 p.m. ET. On the other hand, the return match is scheduled for 12:00 on Sunday, May 14 at the Nemesio Diez Stadium .
