Twitter is discussing the possibility of charging a monthly subscription to all those users who wish to keep their account verified
Twitter is evaluating the possibility of implementing a new verification system in which $19.99 per month is charged in exchange for being able to keep your verified account badge.
This new directive would involve reformulating Twitter Blue, the platform's optional subscription system, whose current cost is $4.99 per month in exchange for additional features. Under this new system, users who already have a verified account will have 90 days to join the new subscription mechanism, or risk losing their blue badge.
According to unofficial information, Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, gave the Twitter engineering team until November 7, so that the new option is active among users. In case of not meeting the delivery date, the employees will be fired.
“The entire verification process is being renewed at this time,” the billionaire said last Sunday.

The measure would be one of the new policies that the company would implement after the arrival of Elon Musk . It must be said that in recent days there has also been speculation about the possibility of massive layoffs of employees who are not contributing to the company.
