Another Narco Terrorist Attack: Car Bomb Explodes in CJNG-Dominated Region

Mexican cartels are increasingly resorting to terrorist tactics, most recently a car bombing in the city of Celaya, Guanajuato
Celaya is not only one of the most violent cities in Mexico, but also in the world, events often occur that endorse that title of the town belonging to Guanajuato, where a drug war is being waged in which the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) ) uses terrorist methods. The most recent event was the explosion of a car bomb.
The events occurred on a section of the Celaya-Salvatierra highway, belonging to the El Sauz de Villaseñor community, on the night of Wednesday, June 28, when elements of the National Guard (GN) went to attend to the report generated at 911 , about an abandoned vehicle presumably with bodies inside, according to the newspaper El Universal.
According to the reports, one of the elements approached the unit mentioned in the complaint and, when trying to open the door, triggered the detonator of the car bomb, which immediately exploded. The shock wave reached elements that were a few meters away and left a balance of five national guardsmen injured, although their state of health is unknown.

The officers injured by the explosion were transferred to the Celaya Civil Hospital and the Irapuato Military Hospital.
As a result of this attack, an operation was deployed in which elements of national and state security forces participated. A helicopter was even used to try to find those responsible for the attack, but there was no success.
It should be noted that Guanajuato is the deadliest Mexican state for police officers and other elements of the armed forces, according to the organization Causa en común, which indicates that in 2023 39 elements have been assassinated.
In addition, this fact is one more example of the terrorist techniques that criminal organizations such as the CJNG are using, since in previous days the explosion of a land mine was reported that practically destroyed a military vehicle in the state of Michoacán.
Said attack It took place in the Las Bateas community, when soldiers were patrolling that community aboard a pickup truck, which ran over a mine causing the explosion. It was later reported that the attack left eight soldiers injured.
Videos and photographs of the truck circulated on social networks after the explosion, in which you can see the great damage it suffered, the rear tires came off the rims, the body was destroyed in various parts, and the glass shattered.
