Hyundai Kona 2024, a model that has caused good sensations in the automotive market due to its set of features and technical specifications.
One of the highlights is its long-range battery of 64.8 kWh, making it appear with an estimated range of 260 miles according to the Asian brand's internal preliminary tests.
In that sense, thanks to the high-capacity battery, it is positioned as an attractive option for consumers. In addition, it offers Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, that is, the car batteries can be used to charge other devices (laptops or mobile phones).
Another notable detail is the active grille shutters that automatically adjust to maximize vehicle efficiency by reducing wind resistance. Also, it stands out for having an aerodynamic coefficient of 0.27.
The technology also stands out through the intelligent regenerative system that takes advantage of the kinetic energy that is lost during braking to recharge the car's battery, further increasing the vehicle's efficiency.
Likewise, they are equipped with 12.3-inch panoramic views screens that provide detailed information on vehicle health and engine performance, along with state-of-the-art infotainment functions.
Technology, battery and motor
In addition, the Digital Key 2 Touch function has been incorporated, a function that provides the option to unlock and start the vehicle without having to use a physical key. In addition, the car has Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates.
On the other hand, Hyundai has placed an i-PEDAL driving mode that allows driving with only one pedal, since it modifies the speed of the car depending on the pressure exerted on the pedal.
The Kona 2024 battery recharges from 10% to 80% in approximately 43 minutes with available 400V fast-charging capability. Also, it stands out with an exceptional driving experience.
At the motorization level, it shows 150 kW (201 hp) and 255 Nm for the 64.8 kWh battery version, while 99 kW (133 hp) and 255 Nm for the 48.6 kWh battery version. Finally, the car will be available at US dealerships this summer, with the Kona Electric available in late fall.
