Gvardiol has been one of the best central defenders throughout the tournament, at only 20 years of age, and is expected to be one of the most sought-after players by the big European clubs at the end of the tournament. Chelsea has been one of the teams most interested in the Croatian central defender.
Morocco's equalizer was not long in coming. In another set piece play, Achraf Dari headed past goalkeeper Livakovic, who let the ball bounce into the small area giving the Moroccans an error to level the score on 9 minutes.

Before the end of the first half, Mislav Orsic signed one of the best goals of the tournament. The Croatian took advantage of a pass after a series of rebounds and from outside the area he hung a shot to the post that entered and the Moroccan goalkeeper Bono could not do anything. With this victory, Croatia receives a prize of $30 million, and Morocco takes $25 million. An award given by FIFA for two teams that fought to reach the final stages.
They also represent possibly the last World Cup for the likes of Luka Modric, Ivan Perisic, Dejan Lovren, and Ante Rebic.
