Follow these simple steps if you need to clean your Apple Watch, so you can leave it like new in a completely safe way

The Apple Watch is an exceptional tool that accompanies us in our daily lives, recording our steps, monitoring our heart rate and keeping us connected. However, to keep it working optimally, it is essential to perform proper cleaning on a regular basis. In this article, we will guide you through the essential steps to clean your Apple Watch without causing any damage.

Many users overlook cleaning their Apple Watch in their daily gadget care routine. However, this small device, which we use in situations that generate humidity, sweat and dirt, can accumulate tiny particles that affect its operation and appearance. Dirt buildup can clog speakers and microphones, affect sensor accuracy, and decrease screen visibility. Additionally, a dirty watch or strap can cause skin irritation or itching.

1. Turn off and disconnect your Apple Watch

The first thing you should do is turn off your Apple Watch and remove it from the charger. Next, remove the straps by pressing the buttons where they attach to the device. Also, remove any protective covers you have installed.

2. Clean the surface

Using a damp, lint-free cloth, preferably microfiber, gently clean the device's screen, side frames, and bottom panel. Make sure not to over-wet the cloth, as excess moisture can damage the watch.

3. Remove stubborn stains

If you find difficult stains or stains resulting from contact with grease, you can moisten a wipe with 70% isopropyl alcohol, 75% ethyl alcohol or even a disinfectant wipe to help remove them effectively.

If you notice dust or dirt buildup on the speaker or microphone grills, use a cotton swab or toothpick with some cotton to carefully clean them. Avoid using soaps, detergents, compressed air or other cleaning products, as they may damage the components and finishes of the watch.

5. Cleaning the Digital Crown

Do not forget to clean the digital crown following the same procedure.

 6. Cleaning the belts

The method of cleaning the belts varies depending on the material:

– Silicone Straps: Use a damp cloth with fresh water or a disinfectant wipe.

– Metal Straps: Use a soft, dry cloth or 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe.

– Fabric or Leather Straps: Avoid water and use a clean, dry cloth.

By following these simple steps, you will keep your Apple Watch clean and in optimal condition. Remember that regular cleaning not only ensures its impeccable appearance, but also prolongs its useful life and function. So, spend a little time cleaning your Apple Watch and enjoy its optimal performance at all times.
