A man was shot to death in the parking lot of a shopping complex early Saturday morning in North Hollywood, authorities said.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said LAPD officers responded to reports of gunshots in a parking lot in the area of ​​Cleon Avenue and Magnolia Boulevard at approximately 1:05 am.

According to initial investigations, the victim was standing in an alley behind some businesses when a suspect approached her and started shooting.
When the police arrived, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene of the shooting and determined that the victim had already died.
The shooter managed to escape the scene before authorities arrived.
So far the causes of the shooting are unknown.
Los Angeles police say detectives are investigating the shooting to determine if it might be gang-related.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim as the investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
