Azadi March During the Azadi March organized by Imran Khan last month, there was a violent confrontation between the police and protesters in many areas of Pakistan. There were clashes between police and protesters in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi and even in the capital Islamabad. Meanwhile, incidents of arson and sabotage took place in Jinnah Avenue and Express Chowk in Islamabad. A case has been registered against former PM Imran Khan for both these incidents. According to Pakistani media reports, sedition sections can also be imposed on Imran in this case.

Targeting PM for corruption and death of Maqsood Peon

Imran Khan, who lost his three-year-old government in April, has intensified his attacks on the Sharif government. Pakistan Prime Minister and his son Hamza Shahbaz have been granted pre-arrest bail in a money laundering case of $75 million. Imran's party has also questioned Shahbaz about the death of Maqsood Ahmed. Ahmed was also known as 'Maqsood Peon'. He has played a key role in cornering the Sharif family in the money laundering case.
