The striker Julio Furch received a tribute in his last game with Atlas before leaving

Julio Furch put an end to his time as a player of the Liga MX in the game of Atlas vs. Sporting de Gijon that was held this Wednesday at the Jalisco Stadium, where he received a well-deserved tribute and was thanked for his contribution to the red and black during his stay.
In the duel that the Guadalajara team lost on penalties after a 1-1 tie in regular time, Furch took to the field to play only 9 minutes, alluding to the number he wore with the Academy.
The fans present in the building that was his home for two years gave him completely, in gratitude for his performance and the two-time Liga MX championship in which he was a key piece in obtaining it, thus ending a drought 70 years old.
“What was lived with Atlas has a special flavor because of the 70 years (without a championship), the responsibility, everything that I was trying to achieve, so it was and will be one of the top moments in history without a doubt? commented the Argentine striker in the interview after he was fired.

The tribute to Furch began before he arrived at the stadium, since even on the bus people thanked him with signs that read ?Thank you, Julio Furch? and dropping red-black flares in his honor.
?Olé, olé, olé, Julio, Julio?, chanted the fans who were already inside the building when the striker went out to warm up. At the same time, a giant version of the Argentinian-born jersey was visible in the half court circle.
Furch started the game as a starter and since the local sound mentioned his name, people began to shout and revived the cheers heard at the warm-up.
In the last minutes he was on the field with Atlas, Julio touched the ball 4 times and shot once on goal. At minute 9, his substitution was announced and he was substituted, but before leaving the pitch he took time to hug his teammates before waving applause from the crowd.
On the bench he was received with the same affection and everyone went to hug him, starting with coach Benjamín Mora. Subsequently, the gunner approached the fence that separates the stands and began to sign autographs to those who asked for it.
Julio Furch leaves Atlas as a legend, he played in four tournaments and helped the team win two League tournaments and one Champion of Champions; during his stay he scored 32 goals, including the penalty that gave the rojinegros their second title in a row.
Next season he will play with Santos from Brazil, a club with which he signed a two-year contract.
