People believe time travel is real after what appears to be an iPhone in a 350-year-old photo. It even led to the CEO of Apple.
Peter de Hoch is seen on the right holding a smartphone.
This left Apple CEO Tim Cook scratching his head as tech experts wondered if he was right about the device's build date.
At the press conference, Cook was asked about the image, and said he was “absolutely not sure” the company created the phone.
“I always thought I knew when the iPhone was invented, but now I don't,” Cook said at the time.
Discovering the portrait while walking in Amsterdam, he found De Hoch's artwork in the Rijksmuseum art gallery.
“One of the photos has an iPhone in it,” Cook said. “It's hard to see, but I swear.”
Whether or not de Hooch was actually calling long before the iPhone, which debuted in 2007, has left conspiracy theorists frothing at the mouth over the possibility of time travel.
The title Tingiwopis - the man who sent the letter to the woman in the Entrance Hall - would suggest a misinterpretation of Cook.
This is not the first time that modern products have been seen in ancient art, many of which double as images depicting Nike shoes long before they were invented.
The Daily Star previously reported on the wild discovery, which revealed the iconic shoe logo in a 400-year-old photo of a mother eagle.
He believes the boy either “got his first pair of Nike trainers” or is “actually a time traveller.”
