The host of the Telemundo morning show lived a very emotional moment when she remembered her father, who died weeks ago, during the broadcast of this Thursday following the words of a medium

Last June 22 , Penelope Menchaca received the terrible news that her beloved father had passed away in Mexico City, so she was absent for a few days from the 'Hoy Día' program although, to everyone's surprise, she returned less than a week However, that does not mean that the pain has passed and that could be seen during the morning broadcast of Telemundo on July 14.

Everything arose as a result of Bis la Médium's participation in a segment of the show in which she contacted deceased loved ones of some of the viewers and after it ended, Johnny Lozada told her that he had not avoided seeing that they had sprouted tears welling up in her eyes, to which she responded by explaining a bit of what she's been feeling in the last few weeks.

“I think that since my dad died, I sort of closed doors and this suddenly… maybe you don't know it, but when she starts to talk, she says: 'who has a father named Juan?' and my dad's name was Juan and I know it wasn't for me, I know it wasn't my dad, but there are doors that I padlock and she opened them the moment she started,” said the Mexican.

Immediately her teammates Johnny Lozada, Daniel Arenas and Andrea Meza, with whom she was sharing a painting at the time, came up to show her their support and she continued to vent. "Sometimes life is not as easy as we want it to be and we learn to defend ourselves, we have this self-defense mechanism," the Puerto Rican told him.

The presenter then confessed that in addition to the loss of her father, she has also been affected by the death of her grandson months ago. "You know this because I have told you about it, my grandson died last year, then this from my father, so it's like blows after blows after blows that no matter how hard I try, I feel like I'm missing something in here," she said.

Given this, her colleagues told her that they greatly admire her for her strength and that they were surprised that she returned to work a few days after her father's death, to which she replied that he would rather go back to work and take refuge in his colleagues and the followers of 'Today' than stay at home suffering from the absence of his loved ones.
