Kansas City Chiefs went to the White House with Joe Biden to celebrate their victory in Super Bowl LVII

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, received the Kansas City Chiefs at the White House this Monday to celebrate their victory in February in Super Bowl LVII against the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition, the country's president himself considered that the team is building a dynasty with two titles in just four years.

“The Chiefs not only have the title back, but they are building a dynasty. They keep their faith and get over their injuries,' Biden said during an event on the South Lawn of the White House before dozens of people, including several politicians from Missouri, the Chiefs' state.

The Kansas City Chiefs have won a total of three Super Bowls: the first in 1970, the second half-century later in 2020, and the third this year against the Eagles.

Joking, the US president assured that the first lady, Jill Biden, a “rabid” of the Philadelphia Eagles, still hasn't been able to get over her team's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. “I have to be careful what I say today,” she added with a laugh.

The event had a festive air with the audience dressed in red caps, dresses and jackets, that of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Patrick Mahomes, the ‘quarterback’, and another of his players, Travis Kelce, gave Biden a very special gift: a red team jersey with the number 46, alluding to the number in the succession of presidents who have governed the United States throughout history.

Despite the relaxed atmosphere, there was also a moment during the ceremony to remember Norma Hunt - widow of the founder of the Kansas City Chiefs, Lamar Hunt, and mother of the current team president, Clark Hunt-,who died this weekend at the age of 85.

Biden recalled how Norma Hunt made history by attending the 57 Super Bowls played so far and asked to observe a few seconds of silence in her honor.
