The story of the first half of Biden's and Vice President Kamala Harris 's tenure, at least by the numbers, is mixed, including the signing of the $1 billion infrastructure bill and the undesired milestone of the country registering a historical inflation.
Biden has managed to get a large part of the population vaccinated against Covid, but the country has also suffered the death of almost 680,000 people due to the pandemic, since the president arrived at the White House.
The president has visited more than 30 states during this term, including of course visits to his home state of Delaware.

Reduced prices
Costs are coming down on everything from cars to dishwashers, gas prices are down more than $1.60 compared to a year ago, and inflation is now at its lowest level since October 2021.
Millions of jobs
2021 and 2022 were the two strongest years of job growth in history. Nearly 11 million jobs have been created . The unemployment rate is near a 50-year low.
United States Global Leadership
President Biden reestablished numerous global alliances and brought together partners around the world to stand up to Russian aggression and support Ukraine.
Gun control
Biden rallied Democrats and Republicans in Congress to pass the most comprehensive gun safety law in nearly 30 years .
Historical confirmation of judges
President Biden's confirmed judicial nominees are the most diverse in history, with the president appointing the first African-American woman to serve on the Supreme Court, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson .
Inflation at 6.5%
Annual inflation remains very high, but it has begun to slowly decline after reaching a four-decade high in June of 9.1%.

During fiscal year 2022, which ended on September 30, the Customs and Border Protection Office intercepted almost 2.4 million migrants who crossed the border with Mexico, a record increase driven by the massive arrival of Venezuelans, Cubans and Nicaraguans. The previous high was 1.66 million in 2021.
Additionally, President Biden had the best results in the 2022 midterm elections of any Democratic president in 60 years.
