Authorities Baltimore police seek those responsible for the shooting in the Brooklyn Homes neighborhood where a party was taking place.

A shooting in the early hours of this Sunday, July 2, in the city of Baltimore left 2 dead and dozens injured, the authorities reported.

According to the first police reports, the events occurred around 12:30 p.m. in the Brooklyn Homes neighborhood of this city in the state of Maryland after receiving multiple emergency calls reporting the shooting.

“When officers arrived we identified several victims with gunshot wounds… Our hearts and prayers go out to the families and friends of these victims, as well as the community throughout our city,” said Sheriff Richard Worley at a press conference.

Upon arriving at the scene of the incident, where a party was taking place, the police found an adult woman lifeless and another male deceased, in addition to counting at least 28 injured, three of them seriously , who were taken to the nearest hospitals.

For its part, the University of Maryland Medical Center, through a statement, said that 12 people were being treated at its trauma center and 4 more they were in the pediatric emergency department.

“This is an absolute tragedy that did not have to happen... This was a reckless and cowardly act that happened here... I want those responsible to hear me, hear me out loud, we will not stop until we find them and we will find them“ , Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott also mentioned during the press conference.

Until now, the authorities are carrying out the corresponding investigations to find the whereabouts of those responsible for the events and determine the causes that motivated them to commit the crimes.
