Her husband, Alek, reported moments later that he had received a call from his wife yelling at him to call the police.

Police released audio of the 911 call, and the woman can be heard crying out for help in a panic.

Deputies arrived at 1:14 pm, three minutes after their first call was made, and forced entry into the home.

She told officers what happened while they were rendering assistance, police said.

β€œLaura was transported to Fisher Titus Medical Center, where she underwent an emergency C-section,” said the police.

Officers who responded to the call took possession of the weapon, a Sig Sauer P365, along with a casing and loaded magazine.

The couple told authorities the gun was stored on a nightstand in their bedroom. There was also a 12-gauge shotgun and an airsoft rifle in the house, police said.

No charges have been filed, but police said the results of the investigation will be forwarded to the local prosecutor's office.

On Monday night, a 7-year-old boy fatally shot a 5-year-old boy inside a house in eastern Kentucky.
